The characters are awesome, very different and lovable.
There is a lot of content to enjoy : many dialogues lines (like with the phone) or ways to finish the game.
It's very creative in its gameplay and boss fights.
It's overall full of very good ideas.
And the music is perfect.
Good question.
Unfortunately no good answer.
No one ever uses the searchbar.
As for friendly characters, I wouldn't agree even if they don't deliberately try to murder you.
What the ♥♥♥♥ is wrong with you?
Literally every single comment I've seen you post makes crazy assumptions about oher games making this one look bad!
First, FNAF
Then, I don't remember, Minecraft or something
Now this?
COD has nothing to do with Undertale. Please, just stop being so annoying.
Undertale's gameplay is literally a poorly copy of bullet hell game with apparently "RPG" aspect even though if you earn a level you are considered a monster, and most items don't do nothing other than heal. Undertale's gameplay is horrible and very poorly made and is saved by it's good story and character interaction (Except for Sans, which is my least favorite character for obvious reasons: Underdeveloped, edgy, and overrated.)
Err.. Sorry, but it is very creative, precisely because it is not supposed to be a bullet hell. It is supposed to be an ultra basic RPG, in a way similar to Earthbound, but it has a dodging system. Seriously, it has nothing to do with a regular bullet hell : each attack is unique, included in the game in a fitting way, and not just a bunch of spaceships and bullets and patterns to dodge.
The "Act" and "Mercy" buttons are something that few games ever did before. You don't even shoot things. RPGs and Shoot them up are famous genres, but a mix between the two of them is, in my opinion, a new concept.
Plus, some of the bosses actually change the way you control your SOUL in a very radical way (say, Papyrus or Undyne), and thsi renews the gameplay.
