Asgore in Genocide route
I have a question. Asgore has 6 human souls, which he could use to obliterate the player. Flowey even mentions that the reason he didn't outright kill the player is because Asgore could still beat him.

But, in the Genocide route, Sans is the final enemy, not Asgore. Why is that? Why didn't Asgore flee (probably to the True Lab) with Alphys and the others, or absorb the 6 souls and fight the player, but instead, somehow, didn't even know what was going on, and was flowering his bloody flowers while his kingdom was being slaughtered!

He simply just killed him so that there was nobody to protect&fight with you. Because Flowey knew this would happen, you have to CALL THE SOULS OUT. AND ASGORE died not be absorbed. If he was absorbed, all the souls in the underground; the white souls, would be surrounding Flowey when he dies (I mean, if ASGORE was absorbed.. then Flowey would've absorbed every other monsters soul). Yes, his health would be higher, but it was the human souls that did all of the work. So, WOULD a Lv20 human really kill asgore? If you did, Flowey would actually be able to KILL you and make a true reset. So... No the human wouldn't prevail because Flowey killed ASGORE'S soul and not you also, Flowey would kill you anyways if ASGORE somehow killed you.
There's quite a bit here that is... no.

First off, Flowey does get stronger. It is explicity stated that just one human soul grants a monster incredible power. Asriel, with just one human soul, could've easily wiped out all the humans, but he didn't because he wasn't a genocider. He wanted peace with humans, but he was killed. When he is Omega Flowey, he has 6 human souls. He is far stronger than you at this point, granting him the power over the timeline and etc. He doesn't outright obliterate you either because he is toying with you or because he does not have full command over the souls.

And yes, a LV 20 human would easily kill Asgore if he absorbed the souls. At LV 20 you do 9999999+ damage, destroy the timeline and the consequences even carry through to all subsequent playthroughs unless you go out of your way to delete the files. Asgore would probably not stand a chance, he might be able to tank 1 or 2 hits, but after that he is dead.

And if you killed Asgore, Flowey wouldn't kill you and make a true reset. Flowey is terrified of you on the genocide path, because he knows just how strong you are. Flowey is nothing compared to you. In one of his previous timelines, he probably could match up to you, but his LV resets every time he resets the timeline, so his LV is probably at 1. This is further proved by the fact that after Asgore is killed, you destoy Flowey. He doesn't stand a chance. He even begs you not to kill him.

Flowey only killed Asgores soul because he was trying to be helpful. The human took Asgore down in one blow, and Flowey finished off the soul to try and show the human that he can be useful.
It really depend's on the attack's asgore uses.We never see him at full strength he might be more skillfull in battle than Sans.

I doubt that. Whilst obviously skilled, Asgore does not want to fight, which immediately cuts his effectiveness right there. If he doesn't want to fight or hurt anyone, he is not going to be very effective in a battle no matter how skilled he is. And anyway, Sans is the only one to dodge your attacks, and the only one to display telekinetic powers. This alone makes him more skilled than any other monster, for if you can't hit your opponent, you don't stand much chance. And yes, I am aware of KR etc, but he can make up for his lack of damage output with his ability to bypass your invibility frames. This is not a trait of KR, this is just one of his powers.

He may be holding back, but I find it hard to believe he's holding back a substantial ammount of his power. And besides, it wouldn't matter anyway because the human can deal 999999999999999+ damage, destroy the timeline, and the consequences of genocide carry though to every other subsequent playthrough unless you go out of your way to delete the files. There is nothing that can stand in the humans way.

It's possible that in Genocide Asgore didn't know what you did.

It's quite obvious he didn't know. Likely because of Alpys forgetting to tell him or thinking it's futile, and Mettaton either placing too much faith in her or thinking he can beat you.

And ye guys, if you got anything that's a bit OT here, go here: http://steamcommunity.com/app/391540/discussions/0/1319962417042198901/
