Maybe some Genesis style heavy bass in the background/ No idea... Sorry man, Maybe look up the Yahmiah sound chip? Or whatever was in the SNES...

No, a Yahmaiha was a Genesis/Megadrive thing... Sorry mate. Try chiptune, I'm sure it was ran through it first. I mean, just look at the pre-Undertale material. Esp Earthbound Hack,

Really am sorry, man, I think it is a heavily messed with chiptune?

There are certainly some elements taken. Some tones are an almost exact match? Esp before mid tones.

Skip to 30+ seconds with the gen/mega yah one... Clearly some points.
