How do I run from a battle?

Using a 360 controller, and I just encountered the T-Rex but too low level to beat it. I can't figure out the button combos to make Squall run from it. What's the default button combo?

If I don't remember wrong you have to push down both sticks at the same time.

With default button configuration it's L3+R3 (push down both sticks).

T-Rexaur is doable. It's rather lengthy fight. I did it without any Scans so I didn't have any idea what its HP was at any point.

Try to draw Sleep from the Grats at the training zone and junction it to Squall's attack. The more you draw, the more chance you have to make it sleep. It takes a lot of time even with that, but you get a lot of XP

I actually encountered the T-Rex in one of the forests in the world just outside Balamb Garden. I had spent 20mins+ before that drawing magic to max stock and I didn't want to lose that time. Cheers for the advice Marsson, you're certainly not wrong.

I beat him in the forest outside Balamb, and I hadn't gotten sleep or blind yet. He just doesn't do that much damage, and I could draw cure from him (unlike the one in the training area) so health was no issue, and hit him with whateer it was he was weak to. Ice? Pretty sure it was ice. So Blizzard and Shiva.

I never had a 360 controller in my hand. But on my old PS1 it was L2+R2. I guess there are no real differences...

I think at level 7 he has like 6-8K HP. He is one of the hardest considering that he is there when you start and killing him takes time and luck.

I was able to beat him at that time, but only cuz i gave myself alotta money n maxed out my hi potions lmao

Did take a bit to kill him though
