Dude, you did the right choice, since the PSN version of FF8 (and FF7) is way, way, waaaaaay better than the ♥♥♥♥ version thats on steam.
Just fyi, the one(s) on steam is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ upres of the PC version from 2000, with no improved models no HD real textures, and the music is MIDI quality.

But the worst thing is that they added ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ DRM to this game, and if you even once click on cloud saves the game will need an constant internet connection.
So yea, don't feel bad that you got an inferior version of the game.

yea, they released a game over a decade old and managed to make it inferior to the original... I'm glad I didn't let my nostalgia drive me to buy this.
