chocobo world a virus?

any one having problems with chocobo world being called a virus? my bullguard is flaging it x.x

It's most likely nothing, just set an exception and you should be good to go.

Chocobo World is a well known Trojan Virus dated back from 2002, there should be no way this should be within the FF game files. If so there is a problem. Can anyone else confirm this is within there FF folder ?

Turn off Bullguard. If you get real viruses, it was worth it to play Chocobo world for hours on end :P

Mmh maybe it's similar to what, I believe it was Rockstar, did some time ago, essentially releasing a ripped crack/ cracked copy of some pirated file as an update instead of doing the work themselves.

I remember when the PC version came out Chocobo Racing would not work and crash and there were community mods/ cracks that somehow fixed that issue,.. !?

Certainly would fit the kind of effort they seem to put into their re-releases at Square Enix.

About pulling off the same music stunt as with the PC re-release of FF7, man hard to believe,... how stupid do they think we are?

As a "westerner" I always have that cliche image of Japanese samurai bushido honor code in my mind where someone after the slightest error would dramatically/ theatrically seppuku/ Hara-kiri in order to restore his/ or his families honor.

Clearly Square Enix totally dismantled such a cliche as there is nothing of such a claim like honor found in their work/ releases anymore. All simply for the quick buck.

SE has nothing to do with it. If you have a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ AV that flags everything without X votes as a virus you should change your program.

True, some AV are known for flagging harmless files as malware.

stop using some ♥♥♥♥♥♥ cowboy AV and go with a free alternative a bit more reputable, like avg, avast or ♥♥♥♥... even windows defender gets quite good scores on detection rate tests now and has the lowest performance hit of any AV.
