Through the card club optional quest i have 5 malaboro things and 7 pipes. I am at fisherman's horizon having repairs made to the garden. is it possible to get the ring before the airship?

You won't be getting any remedy+ till you get alexander and train him up good and that won't be for awile.

You can't get doomtrain without cheating until disc 3, at least after reaching Esthar I think. Alexander needs like 350 ap to learn med level up to be able to get remedy+ for it.

disc 3 normally, disc 2 using chocobo world if you are lucky / use the chocobo world glitch

PC version straight after completing one Chocobo Forest. (early Disc 2 as it was on the PS)

If that is, you're prepared to wait out getting the items from Boko drops. And/or cheat by keep copy/pasting your Chocobo World save data.

It dropped pretty easily for me.
But strangely, since actually getting Doomtrain it's never dropped again.
I've got another ring, don't get me wrong. But from Tear's Point later as you should get the first and only one.

I don't remember the exact disc swap moment but you can't get Alexander until after Galbadia Garden, which is either at the end of disc 2 or at the point where you swap to disc 3. You need one of his abilities to get remedy+ which isn't something that you can obtain in chocobo world. So if the swap happens before you can learn his ability, it's impossible to get before disc 3.

I've gotten multiples of the ring from CW, so it's possible to get the ring before disc 3. It's just a matter of whether or not you can get Alexander's ability before disc 3.

You can get all of the items for DT on Disk 1 (very early) EXCEPT Remedy+ and Solomon's Ring.

Both of the above items can be obtained from Chocobo World Minigame and imported around the time you go to Trabia garden to visit your first forest.

I can confirm you can get multiple Solomon's Rings and Remedy+ from CW.
