Triple Traid NPC's not starting card games with me

After I received my first deck I spoke to every NPC expecting the option to play the game. Have I missed something or has this card game been removed from the Game?
I am now about to travel on the train to Timber. I have collected many cards from battle but not played anyone at the triple triad. What is wrong with my game? Do i need a certain item to play the game with people? No NPC has given instructions, only the Queen of Cards and Jack by the Directory have mentioned the game but will not offer to play. The boy in green running about isn't present in the hallways of Garden anymore.
Is this a bug or do I need to get something?

No no it's still in there look at the chievos.
You prob talking to them with the talk button.
You have to talk to them using the card button, which by default is square or X for 360 controller users.
Some people don't accept duals but i doubt you only talked to those people.
Let us know what you did wrong.

The boy is still in Garden. You can find him running around the main area, where the directory is. You might have to go around until you find him. If he says something about "one more", just keep following him and trying. If you still can't find him, you'll be able to do it later.

haha yeah you nailed it. Thank you, I just discovered that in a gamefaq, had no idea. Yeah its X on 360, sadly I missed when it said button 3, I wasn't sure which one it was.
