Frame limit - any chance of getting rid of it?
Hey, Is there any chance or way to remove that freaking frame limiter? (world map - 30fps, battle - 15 fps!) It's just annoying.

With such an old game you dont really need any more.

The FPS on 8 is double what it was on FF7.

The way the game was programmed, all increasing the frames per second would do is increase the speed of the game.

Not true, in FFVII battles were 15fps, menu 60fps and everything else 30fps. I've recorded more than just a few episodes of VII and I've recorded some of VIII as well.
Not to mention the way the battle HUD is rendered is very strange. It was interlaced back then and it "ran" at 60 fps, like with Renzokuken, it was smooth on the PSX version, but on the PC version it's not even 30 fps and very hard to press the trigger button to get "perfect" . I doubt it could be fixed.

On PC yeah, but on consoles it was doubled from what FF7 had, thats what ive read anyway.

i just have all the stuff on auto, ive never really done any of the limit breaks except for using an aura stone just to test some of em.

You might just suck at timing it....I haven't had any issues getting a perfect with the limit break.

I strongly suggest going into your party menu, selecting config, and setting battle speed to it's fastest then trying Renzokuken again. It removes the jitterish effect you see when it's set to medium.

The really only makes it "faster" but the fact of the matter is the PC version renders it differently.

I just want to speed the whole game so the grinding is not so tidious. On FF7 just used Cheat Engine, does not work on FF8.
