How do you do a Soft Reset? SOLVED: CTRL+R

Is it still possible to do the old soft reset, you know, the one where you hold down:
Start + Select + L2 + R2
I've tried, but I can't do it.
I really want this to work cause I don't want to hard reset everytime I lose at Triple Triad

The soft reset was hardcoded into the PS1 bios and worked for every ps1 game; But this is the PC version of FFVIII and it's on the PC, So No the soft reset doesn't exist. Enjoy the game though.

just alt+f4, and re-open the game.

This just changed my life. I use Steam's overlay web browser to follow a FAQ. Every time I had to reset, I would have to reopen the FAQ. But with the soft reset, I can keep the FAQ open!!!
