Is PS3 version better?

Hey guys. Think FF game are awesome and havent played this one so far yet. Should i buy this version or the PS3?
Is there any differences or does it mainly depend of how i prefer to play the game?

There are some graphical issues with the PC version, but they're relatively minor, at least in my experience. Plus you can get some pretty cool mods for this version. I recommend playing it with a controller though, because it can be a little bit cumbersome with the keyboard, but to each his own on that. But if you're not interested in modding it or anything, the PS3 version, while not "better" should be just fine. FFVIII is my favorite FF game and I logged tons of hours on the PS1 version. Either way, definitely get this game. Just my two cents.

IIRC the PS3 version emulates the original PS1 version which means it will have all the graphical limitations due to the hardware (no z-buffer, low polygon precision, no texture filter). The PC version looks the best.

As for audio, the music is not very good for the PC version. You'll have to either replace the default files with the music files I converted directly from the PS1 data or use RaW mod which will give you some additional options for music replacement. It takes minimal effort to get the music quality as good as the PS1 version.

Keyboard is certainly viable for playing this game considering it's a menu selection JRPG. If you don't mind doing some extra work for replacing the music and want the best looking experience then PC is the way to go.

PC version for sure! As has already been mentioned its easy to rectify the issues with the PC version, plus you can enable the in built cheats if you're that way inclined!

The audios a little wonky for the PC, but its better for value and has more features, I'd go with PC on this one.

there are lots of issue with the PC version, HOWEVER, the PC version does come with chocobo world so if content access is a must, then PC.

if you liked the music, and the base game, and could live without chocobo world's mini game, then PSN.

Is this really a question? It's cheaper on here. You can use a controller if you want. You can mod on PC. The music is of lesser quality, but in 5 minutes you can fix it with Roses and Wine. They give you F1-F5 boosts because let's face it, who the ♥♥♥♥ wants to grind 50 hours to face Ultima, or watch a 30 second GF attack animation? At least I don't.

(If you also like achievements, then PC again because there's no trophie list.)

Playstation 3 version is just the POPS emulator that you can find in every Sony console. I mean, Playstation 2, PSX (the DVR-thing), Playstation Portable, Playstation TV, Playstation 3 and now Playstation 4.

So no, this is better.
