Is it possible to access the ragnarok after killing adel?

So I've killed Adel, killed the giant snake thing and I leaped through the portal but none of them bring me to esthar (where the ragnarok last was), did the ragnarok get teleported somewhere so that I can pick it up?

The central gate should take you to the north tip of the centra map and the Ragnarock is on the south east tip if I believe.

Ok nvm I found it, but I can't get into balamb! There's a blue barrier around it! I wanted to finish the ultimate weapons....

You can't get into towns on disc 4 due to time compression. It's mostly just dungeons where you got GFs that you can enter.

You can still get everyone's ultimate weapons though.

You can learn the Junk Shop ability from Doomtrain which lets you open up a weapon shop from the menu.

Well I never unlocked doomtrain normally (in fact I missed most if not all of the hidden GFs) so I'm gonna have to find him in Ultimecia's Castle first.

The only GFs I've unlocked besides the regular 3 are The Brothers, Odin (who is now Gilgamesh), Cerberus and Diablos

You won't get Doomtrain in Ultimecia's castle, you need to get Solomon's Ring from Tear's Point and collect the other items needed (6 Malboro Tentacles, 6 Remedy+ and 6 Steel Pipes).

If you've missed some GF's you reacquire some of them by drawing them from bosses in Ultimecia's castle.

It's not too late. Tear's Point remains open (as does any dungeon/area where you're supposed to get a GF).

Then it's just a matter of getting the items. You can either mod cards to get them or fight the enemies that have them.

Malboro - On disc 4, I think your best bet is to find them on the Island Closest to Heaven or the Island Closest to Hell. Just bear in mind that they will be level 100. If you get the GF Tonberry, he comes with an ability called LV Down which lets you lower the enemy's level.

Wendigo (for Steel Pipes) - Should be in the forests near Timber.

Remedy+ - You need the Alexander GF. If you don't have it, you can draw it from Catoblepas in Ultimecia's Castle. Once you get it, learn the Med LV Up and change 60 Remedies into 6 Remedy+.

That seems like a lot of work just so I can make the ultimate weapons. Also is it worth grinding?

It's not that much work to be honest. You can get the tentacles just from mugging a couple of Malboros and the steel pipes from a couple of Wendigos. Then just buy all the Remedies from a shop.

You don't really need to grind in this game as long as you junction strong magic to your stats.

You have to know at first: ALL Enemys are scaling with your average Level. Basically we can say the game is much harder as higher you are. Same counts for using GF`s. As more Times you use them in Fight, as more will the Enemys scale. The easiest way is to use just melee Weapons and nothing else but i highly recommend a high Level and using G.F`s sometimes so its a competiotin and not just a easy walkthrough.
