Adamantine, so frustrating

I'm reading these guides on the Adamantoise, and in the same article they're saying you can steal adamantine and that you can't steal adamantine and that he only drops it and vice versa, jesus, which is it? Gained like 15 lvls fighting these adamantoise to no avail. In fact, they aren't even dropping ANYTHING anymore... this is by far the most annoying thing in this game so far... and what the hell kind of FF game doesn't want you getting to lvl 100. I mean, I know you can, but you shouldn't? WTH? I do understand why but it's so dumb.

They only drop Adamantine, you can't mug them. You want to be fighting level 30+ Adamantoises, they have the best chance to drop them (75% chance that they'll drop an item but it's always an Adamantine). Mid tier Adamantoises only have about a 4% chance of dropping one if they even drop an item.

Yeah I don't know how they're not dropping, they're lvl35+. Can't remember exactly last time I scanned, something like that anyways.. I finally just refined minatoar.

I ended up getting these via the card also, but an interesting thing to point out is, if you mug an item from an enemy (it doesn't matter if it's the item you want or a different item), it WILL NOT drop the item you are looking for. You want to be removing mug from your commands for these battles.

make them lvl 30+, kill them, got all my ada's in about 10mins like this (damn fishies appearing >.> ). i prefered spamming rapture, very entertaining :P

I will try this, it will blow my mind if it works. Not in a good way either. lol

I spent a lot of time mugging items from enemies to get items for all the Ultimate Weapons and Quistis' limit breaks etc. I promise you it is true and it works :)

thing to remember is level matters in this game in regards to items an drop rates. if you are screwed with that, gonna have to get the level up and level Down ability to be able to control that.

but Card Mods are the superior item getters anyways. so look into that option

Modding minotaur card. It will refine 10 adamantine. You can obtain the card again later in disc 4 providing you successfully complete the CC group side quest by the end of disc 3.
