Controls?

Are the PC controls the same as FF7 or are they totally different? I got used to the ones for 7 evne though they were a little wonky.

I haven't played FF7 (original PC) in a while. Long while! as I remember they DO have different controls. I can't speak for FF7's new face on steam. But you can customize your FF8 keys to work just like the '7' keys (with a few exceptions since some buttons have different uses depend on screen you are on).

one thing to note is that CTRL + R held while outside of battle/menu soft resets the game

Ok cool, the X/C/V and movement are the same as the 7 PC port! :) Will be picking this game up when I finish 7 then, thanks.

To fire Squall's gunblade in combat for a critical, it is G, which is also the trigger for Renzokuken. Took me a while to figure that one out.

no worries. holding J in battle allows you to see the BOOST when ur summoning a GF its never really explained well that one
