QOC Won't move from (Balamb to Dollet) (Dollet to Balamb) Solution
QOC won't move to Dollet? QOC won't move to Balamb?

I noticed that from what I've read from multiple sources that they're having trouble getting the QOC to move from Balamb to Dollet and Vise Versa.

Some say it's 33% Chance that she goes to Dollet. Some say she only goes to Galbadia. And that it's just rotten luck. . This is partially incorrect.

For starters are you performing a hard reset or a soft reset? A Hard reset may lock the QoC forcing her to go to Galbadia 100% of the time.

Soft Reset may resume the RNG manipulation. I discovered that in order to get her to move to either Balamb or Dollet. A few things need to occur. If you perform the same linear route to challenging the QoC even when soft resetting. It will cause her to select Galbadia. We don't want that.

If in Balamb talk to a few NPCs, leaving the town enter a battle flee. Then go into the Hotel and pay to rest, save, enter the shop, buy something, (If in Balamb) "go get a train ticket to timber but don't actually go to timber." Then challenge her to a game of cards. And she'll more than likely move to Dollet.

If not, soft reset. I believe on the PC version Keyboard hold "Ctrl and R" then repeat the steps above. I noticed that when you perform an action, and obtain an item. it resets the RNG and moves it along. It will then make it so the QoC will move to Dollet. Tested it myself. Every other bit of info from guides and forums was a dead end and lead to no results, or changes. However gathering what info I found and doing some tests. This does infact work and has a better success rate than any other suggested idea.

The RNG manipulation takes into account the interactions with NPCs, Soft Resetting which prevents you from an RNG lock, obtaining an item, paying for a hotel / train ticket, entering a battle "can flee from it if you wish." and then re-visiting the QoC provided results.

Doing all of these will get the QoC to Move.
Hope this helps :)

The whole point of Queen of Cards is to lose rare cards to her so you can get her father to paint new rarer cards... Only when you lose a rare card to her does she move... That is a fact...

Each time you ask the Queen of Cards about her artisan father she will give you a hint as to where you can find the newly created card.

Yes that was the whole point of my post. Been playing FF8 Since launch.

People new and old are clouded and are even to this very day as to why QoC hasn't moved. To Dollet or Balamb even when you lose Minimog, to start the QOC Triple Triad.

Ideally you want her to be moving between Dollet and Balamb and Vise Versa. So that while you are losing the Rare Cards you are also getting them back from her Son who is also in Dollet. And obtain the newly crafted cards that are in the hands of players from various regions.

That much is basic knowledge. However getting her to move, and myself having to look at several sources all of which come up with little to no results.

I decided to help out anyone, weeks, months, years from now. Who are just as puzzled as to why the QoC only moves to Galbadia.

Which brings me to make such a lovely post, expressing how to get her to move from Balamb to Dollet and back again.

I wished I came across this during my many playthroughs. And after messing around I found a solution. YVW. . . .
problem with this ctrl+ R does'nt work for a soft reset there has to be another way to soft reset ff8 on pc unless it has to be an uper case R rather then a lower case i'm going to try some of the other things i've tried other things to shake up the RNG leaving the screen then going back several times even leaving balamb and going back in several times she still wants to go to galbadia so i'll try the other thing you said i'll let you know if it works i noticed the game now has cheats which is new
