Can't access menu options, battle menu not showing up
The problem is simple: I can't use the menus. None of them. When a battle starts, I see the yellow marker that shows which character is going to act, but no menu shows up to take action. No command works, only pause and run. When I go to the normal menu, I can navigate just fine, but I can't chosse any option. Can't save, can't see my junctions. I can only move the cursor.
The game was working just fine before. The only difference was that I used the chocobo world and magic booster features. I've already reinstalled the game but the problem's still there. Anyone knows what can I do to solve this?

you play with keyboard?360pad?mouse you can also see when starting ff8 configuration buttons and i personally didnt used magic booster lol i prefer playing ff8 on keyboard and no 360pad while sometimes i need replug controller and settings so hope it will help if not maybe other person can or look in here prolly i have/had same issues mfg

I play with a PS4 controller with DS4windows. I tried playing with the keyboard, but it's the same. Even tried changing the keys, still nothing.

do you have an save file if yes (try)delete it and restart again and /or try start a game without boosters. if then nothing delete complete game and reinstall it often happens that something missed or got damaged.and when you play with keyboard make sure your setting also on keyboard from main menue hope it will help....

I did find a solution. If I boot the PC and don't connect any controllers, I can play with the keyboard. If I plug my controller, the bug happens again. I'm not sure what's going on but I can play so that's enough for me. Thanks for the help
