confuse broken???

i just fought the vysage, and when my chars got confused (by the stare ability) they every time without fail used the 4th ability. at first squall got confuse and had item as 4th ability, and ended up using a bunch of elixirs on the vysage, then selphie got confuse and ended up casting magic over and over, since that was her 4th ability on the list . now this may just be a bug with the vysage that was never fixed? I'm pretty sure confuse is supposed to make you ATTACK random people including your own party, and not make you use items or magic...?

i just stood there and let him use stare, for a long time, and some funny things happened, but it appears that confused characters will use the non-attack ability like 90 percent of the time, and when they are silenced, it appears that they will just keep using the 4th ability, or just attack, but won't change until the confuse is off

got squall to attack, finally while silenced after trying to use magic, so it seems they just rarely physical attack while confused, which will use up your good items and spells, and is different from most all other ff games
