Square Enix. One of the features of this release is a character booster that you can use to boost HP, MP and Gil if you are utilizing cloud saves.

Black Chocobo..... its a save game editor.

Make sure you back up your saves (Steam tends to delete the altered saves because they're different from the cloud save). Play the game in offline mode if you choose to use it.

Jarhead: You'll have to go a step farther, as the launcher deletes saves that are of an older version than the game and black chocobo saves them with the old 98 version header. So after you edit, back up the save to a different location, start the launcher, then copy the save into the save folder. As soon as you load it, save again and you're golden.

I guess I'll never understand why someone would want to cheat on an RPG where a large portion of satisfaction comes from leveling up materia/characters. Different folks, different strokes, I suppose.

Well, like opinions, it's different for everyone. I used to cheat in FF8 for the only reason that it was fun to me. My fun was to see all the 9999 I could deal on each enemies and boss even though it turned against me during the final boss because high level/stats = high level/stats bosses. It was really fun to me, though. I enjoyed the story above anything it was well worth all the time and money I had put on it. Most people won't agree with me but I don't really mind.

Nothing's wrong with playing the game the right way. xD I just like to have a boost when I play my RPGs. Not saying I cheat on all of them, though. Only did on very few of them but I enjoyed it all the times.
