Soft reset?

Is there anyway to do a soft reset of the game like I was able to do on the original PS version? I remember being able to hold all 4 shoulder buttons and the start and select buttons together which would then reset me to the start screen. tried doing that with the keyboard equivelants and I can't get it to work.

CTRL + R Hold it for 2 seconds they said. But it didnt work to mines~

There is no soft reset for FF7. You have to close the game out completely and open it again from the launcher. The soft reset of Ctrl + R works for FF8.

Ok, figured that was the case on VII, although I didn't know about the reset for VIII. That is going to come in handy especially when I am playing cards and lose one of my rare cards.

You didn't get soft reset in this version but you can use "Quick Exit" to re-launch the game by pressing CTRL + Q

You can use this anywhere except during Cutscene.

I went to my PS1 collection grabbed one of the two original copies i have (:P cause i f-ing can ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥)

In the PS1 Manual it was

"You can rest your game by pressing and holding down the following buttons simutaneously L1+L2+R1+R2+SELECT+START"


How ever that is just for the PS1 version...tested it on my controlers configurations does not work at all.

this version its only Ctrl+Q to quit out back to windows.

Yeah, that's right. Only PS1 can do soft reset not in PC version or Steam.
BTW, for me Quick Exit for Steam is faster than soft reset in PS1 because loading time is shorter and do not have to briefly wait 5 sec.

Still not work. I guess the only way is to make win battles.

Alt + F4 quits the game, quite immediately.
