Problem with talking to shop owner after sector 7 pillar has fallen

I've got to climb up a wall and put some batteries into a propeller so I can jump to the next section. I have to talk to the weapons shop owner to get the batteries but he doesn't want to talk to me. Keeps telling to "come again" instead of wanting to sell me batteries. Is anyone else having this problem? Did I miss a trigger that will get him to sell me batteries?

Yes, you must have done (missed a trigger). Have you been to Aeris' house and watched the flash back?

Yeah. I talked to her mother she's keeping Barrets daughter safe.
There are 2 people in the town talking about how the weapons guy is hoarding junk that fell so I went to him before I climbed the line and then after saem response "come again"

If he is saying 'come again' and you are sure that you have been to Aeris' house (I trust you), have you also been to see the kids stood by the pipe that you will need to be climbing once you have the batteries?

If they are stood in the way you still need to buy the batteries, but if the pipe is clear or they are starting to climb it it means you have the batteries, so if they are not there just check your inventory (key items) it sounds silly but I have known people to think they don't have the item simply because they did not look in the 'key items' section.

If the kids in the way talk to them, then the 2 people talking about the weapon seller 'getting all the junk' (or whatever the line is) then go straight to the store with 'GUN' above it (I assume you have been but better safe than sorry) and speak to the guy on the left through the chain fence not the guy who sells you weapons (again going by what you have said, it seems you have been) and if non of this works.... well I don't know what else to try

I climbed up the pipe at the same time as the kids. Cloud notices the propeller needs batteries I climbed down to get them from the shop and nothing. The kids arent in the way, I've done everything at Aeris's house, I checked my key items.

Sounds crappy :/ I can't think of anything else that may act as a trigger for it, sorry I couldn't help, hope you get it sorted though.

Cloud "notices" the propellor needs batteries regardless if you have them or not. You need to click "confirm" where the batteries should go and he will put them in.

Are you 100% sure you are speaking to the guy that sells the batteries? It sounds like you have progressed the story sufficiently, all i can recommend is a Youtube video because there is something you are doing wrong.

I am 100% sure. I am going to the weapons shop in the same town as the pipe the shops says Machine GUN over it there are two men inside one who sells you weapons and another off to the side playing in a tank. The man in the tank is suppose to sell me the batteries.

in the retail version sometimes you have to talk to some random npc's in order for it to work..i am not this far yet in this version..busy playing other games, but try retracing your steps..even repeating them if you have too..if you tried everything..im sorry to say you might have to start over again..at least your not that far yet..
