Any character that has exactly 7777 HP at any time will automatically enter a status known as "All Lucky Sevens" which has them attack for 7777 damage multiple times in a row, which is useful for those tough bosses.
It would be ideal to grab and pair MP Absorb matiera ( https://finalfantasy.fandom.com/wiki/MP_Absorb_(Final_Fantasy_VII) how to get) with Cut materia/Slash-All or best of all Master Command (mega-all equipped somewhere for Slash/D.Blow all if eyes are out or just 4x Cut whatever). That will make running out of MP nearly impossible.
Learn E.Skill Big Guard (has haste + barrier + magic barrier for cheap MP cast and casts on all party in one use).
Optional but makes you really OP with the above tips - Have W-Item + 1x Hero Drink (duplicate to 4x, or even 3x tho you get an extra 10% from the 4th use... maxes at 4x per character in a battle). It boosts stats by 30% per cast (hence 10% last use cause caps at +100%, also this goes beyond the normal 255 stat cap allowing insane stat cap of 500 otherwise impossible to get).
With the hero drink method you could honestly just go into the fight with Cloud's limit break Omnislash, use 4x hero drink, big guard, and then Omni-Slash + mime spam and finish the battle insanely fast. (Hero drinks actually make physical attacks on Ruby viable if base stats are high enough, its OP).
The Air Tram or w/e attack that may seem to do 9999 damage is based on # of materia equipped. Equip less materia to a character to take way less damage (IIRC its 1111 x # of materia used and dmg reduction doesn't work on it).
Underwater materia is completely unnecessary for this fight, even if doing it at like level 40 unless you are really struggling spending immense amounts of time healing, dealing subpar damage, etc.
Bring characters with multi-hit limit breaks as you already are, so you got that part done. In fact, you got the strongest three characters in the game in your party (excluding Caith Sith's instant victory lame limit break).
You do not need all of these tips, these are just different ways to optimize it.
Using mime too is a great move. Put them on all three character's..have 1st character cast W-summon knights of round, then have everyone pick mime..rinse..repeat.
ok, im going to try this method. Having lucky 7 is a great idea. I hate that move AIRE TAM STOM and it usually kills me because he spawns it about halfway thru the fight.
For some reason, emerald weapon is giving me more issues than ruby weapon did. I guess because of the annoying AIRE TAM STORM move.
When you have a limit break you can spam Omnislash via Mime until you need to heal (use hyper to refill fast). Once you use an item repeat the basic attack commands until you can mime Omnislash or other limit break again (works only for the character who has it, skip the other characters for limit break mime until you can't mime it).
W-Item 3-4x Hero Drinks to make it very easy.
As for Air Tram... I already explained it above.
Lucky 7777s does work but requires more effort to setup, is dependent on having your max HP actually be that else you will lose it upon getting hurt and does inferior damage to what I already mentioned.
Yes i noticed the setup was a bit more complex..but i did it, and then i hit a omnislash with cloud and then emerald weapon seemed to die..lol. Keeping lucky 7's was annoying too, but i stayed in it enough to kill off emerald weapon, espcially doing some limit breaks afterwards:

You can also permasleep Yans basically, and abuse it with Instant Death effects (of which there exist a ton of options there) making them a virtually zero threat fight.
I will say tho, Yans are a hilarious unexpected surprise to anyone unfortunate to unknowingly get into a fight with them the first time.
Tbh I don't get this either.. i've killed Ozma several times and it's only wiped me like twice.. maybe I just got lucky or something but i've never experienced that crazy unfair RNG the boss is apparently famous for.
Underwater.
