Trouble installing
My game was stuck on loading 100% (preloaded it) so i canceled the installation and uninstalled it, now whenever i try and redownload it, it jumps to 89% and gets stuck there.

same here
The download tries to stop it self and it hinders everthing I do in Steam. And that how my last 4 hours have been.

I fixed it, what i did was i closed steam in the task manager, went to steamapps then to downloads, I then deleted everything, restarted my pc then reinstalled it. it said 89% but i left it on for an hour and when i came back it installed.

I predownloaded the game as well. Then I went to start it up today and it said it needed to update. Well now it wont update so I uninstalled and I'm attempting to redownload now but it's stuck at 2G... FML ..

I think its either your internet is slow or steam is being dumb, I think its the 2nd

Same. I preloaded and it would patch a final update. So i deleted it and starting downloading again.. 2 hours later is stuck at 95% and is not moving. very lame.

Same here. I've downloaded it 3 times over the past 3 days, and each time it gets stuck at 95%.

I'm having the exact same problem. Pre-loading wouldn't patch, and I've tried downloading an additional 3 times only to get stuck at 95%.

Did you try changing the download-region in the steam settings and restarting the client?

I tried multiple download regions, still no luck. Refreshed Steam as well.

...the issue might also be that the steam client connects to a cdn with broken data:
Downloading over some VPN or blocking the currently used IP of the content-server might help in that case (the IP can be found by opening "resmon.exe" and filtering by "Steam.exe"-process)

Having this EXACT same issue, it's frustrating.

I got it to work now. I stopped the download, closed Steam, and deleted all the files in the Steam > steamapps > depotcache as well as the downloading folder. Start the download again (making sure it reallocates space when the download initializes), and you should be good to go.

I was able to get it to work after I changed drives. I had it on Drive C and changed it to my SSD and it works fine now.

I was able to get it to work by some combination of these things:

- Downloaded game on a different computer and copied the game to my gaming pc
- Deleted "depotcache" and "downloading" folders
- Hit install, and let it verify game files and download a small update
