Survival Instincts not working?

Hi i cant seem to get survival instincts to work on my game is anyone having similar issues? Theyre enabled in the gameplay option. I mean I can play the game without it however would still like the option. thanks.

I too am running into this problem. My solution? I binded another key to the Q. I use R also when the Q fails. Why this fails, I don't know but it does. And it does come back for me.

Thanks im using a xbox 360 controller for pc however when i press Q or R on the keyboard it shows. thanks again.

Awesome. Glad I could help..I didn't know you could use controller & keyboard at the same time...I think I'll investigate that with my PS3. Thanks for the tip

Hi Guys, Great news, I too have an XBox 360 controller and was flumoxed when the button that worked for survival instincts in Tomb Raider 2013, RB, didn't working in Rise of the Tomb Raider. Take the right yolk (directional stick, not pad) and push it in that will turn on survival instincts. Thank goodness I don't have to keep reaching over for the keyboard. That's the whole point of having a controller. Yes, there are games that are better on a keyboard, but I don't feel 3rd person action games are one of them. Eg: Batman is also better with a controller.

I'm necroing this thread because this is still an issue as I just ran across it. I have tried remapping the key as well but no joy, nothing happens when I press whatever key i've mapped to it. It's not a gamebreaking issue but still. I'm on Linux, not sure about the rest of you. I'm on version 1.0.4 of the game.

Sometimes survival instincts just stops working mid-game. Especially noticeable on long endurance runs. What works for me is to go to menu and disable survival instinct (2 menu items), then go back to game, then back to menu and then enable the survival instinct. Seems to be fixing it all the time for me.
