Rise of the Tomb Raider Won't Work On My Mac

My mac has the following specifications:
- MacBook Pro (13-inch, mid 2012)
- 2.9 GHz Intel Core i7
-Memory 8GB 1600 MHz DDR3
-Graphics Intel HD Graphics 4000 1536

It has never been great a running games but when I drop the resolution it works fine. Now buying Rise of The Tomb Raider it won't even open. Could someone explain to me why and if I can fix it or upgrade my Mac in some way to play this beloved game.

It's likely that your mac doesn't meet the minimum requirements I'm afraid.

That Intel HD Graphics 4000 is considerably lower than what is required graphics-wise
