Question about Flooded Archives

I've fully completed the area already, but one thing I noticed and don't understand are the hanging fire-bowls.
You can shoot them and they drop fire and they even are highlighted via instinct, but there seems to be nothing you can really do or use them for as there also isn't a challenge connected to them...
So, I'm just curious about what those bowls are even there for. What is their purpose gameplay-wise?

Maybe they're for Score Attack mode.

I don't think they're for score attack, cause i did them already and they had no purpose really.

I think they're probably just for decoration purposes, like it sets the vibes and is probably your only source of light down there???

But then why are they getting highlighted by instinct and you can even shoot them to drop fire.
Could it be something they PLANNED to add things around but they never did it so it's just left as a useless feature?

If some foes pass beneath those you can set those on fire by hitting that sort of hanging fire chandelier. Apart that, there's not much use for those that I could figure out.
