How do I swan dive?

I need it for the achievemnt to dive into the well. I tried everything, but Lara just doesn't want to swam dive :/

jump then quickly press and hold {aim}, i.e. your normal submersion button. You can do this from any height into any body of water deep enough to submerge in; you can dive into a river.

If you still have trouble search the forums for this topic. The controls are a bit unresponsive.
ps: a lot of controls are included under the Survival Guide you can find through your map screen.

Also dont sprint when you jump off. Just stand at the edge, jump and right click or whatever your aim button is. It doesn't work if you are sprinting for whatever reason.

You can also Jump and ----->HOLD<---- Dodge (C on keyboard). It's actually much easier to trigger that way.

Best way is to run that assure swan dive everytime and you must dive off by wooden plank with red paint on it.

I don't see how anyone is having an issue with it. I can swan dive off of anything at any time as long as there's water of course.

I think it's mainly timing they're having issues with, older games ya just pushed two buttons and she swan dived, that's what people are used to. But once you get the timing down it's really easy.

I guess so. Did you all know that you can plank dive as well? By that I mean arms to the side and body straight up and down. Wait a second or two after jumping and then hold aim.

Yeah, High Dive / Swan Dive is really make crazy to achieve. First, in PC version as in Survival Guide (On Pause/Resume Menu) there is only High Dive, no Swan Dive at all. But, if your timing not perfect, Croft will Dive with feet first while closing her arms. But when your timing is perfect, she'll perform High Dive - Swan Version. And when your timing is scramble then she'll jump like desperate girls. Lol..

Okay, first check Survival Guide - Traversal - High Dive as it tells "Leap off platforms that OVERLOOK WATER and QUICKLY press [R Mouse] while in air to DIVE."
Base on that we need 2 things!
1. Where platforms you jump, as long as there is water below you CAN perform High Dive!
2. After right you jump, QUICKLY press [R Mouse] or Aim Button. Press! Not HOLD!
If you doubt your timing, after jump just bash the [R Mouse] / Aim Button. It still count as press.

On Challenges High Diving - GEOTHERMAL VALLEY
I always failed perform High Dive on Spot Archivist Map. After many trials, I figure it out that you need right position too to perform High Dive. On that spot, you need further jump to landing on water, to short you can landing die on stone or still on water but too close to stone, that's why High Dive - Swan Version not perform (Feet first / desperate girl).
So, I stand on tip platform and check where position is right (not near stone / water fall). Then I take distance fall back near tree, adjust position and sprint to platform. Right at the end platform, press jump (release after it but still HOLD W / Forward button, don't release it or you do short jump) and quickly bash [R Mouse] / Aim Button.
Another tips for this spot, before you jump, make sure you visit the campsite nearby. So if you fail, you only reload checkpoint.
