There is a bug. Reach the gate first than trebuchet starts shooting. The frozen wall will explode and there will be wooden. I had same problem. sry for my En again :D

i dont think thats a bug. you just arent allowed in the area till you trigger it there.

Dang. Been clambering around for half an hour there to get to that bell... Then I watched a youtube video and saw something completely different. Then I thought FIRE! FIRE will help me thaw it out. After that I turned to grenades to get the wall to break.

Turns out the game wants to give you a sense of urgency all of a sudden and get moving on the main quest instead of giving in to your OCD.

... Which is weird because I just dallied around the freaky vale with Nadia for a couple of hours whilst the war on top of the glacier rages on. If I look up in the lost city, I think I can see remnant blood seeping through the cracks.

Oh well.

Yep, you have to force the attack first, which defeats the purpose of silencing the alarm bells first. Maybe they will patch it, maybe not.
