I guess just for the same reason of playing any demo ,would be nice to try it out without the hassle of having to wait the 3-5 days for the refund to go back on my wallet, it is not an ideal way of testing a game really i am not a fan of using it like that.
And being a gamer for many many years before Steam i would get PC gamer magazine that always had a disc with it featuring demos.
So i guess it is just personal preferance really and what i am used too doing :).
They are too afraid of people figuring out how poor a job they did with these games to let it happen.
Would cost them too many sales. Now they try to get you to buy everything in a pre-order before you even know what you;'re getting, and season passes and such.
Pathetic
The small amount of demos that do get put out still are usually from a great team and make my mind up to buy the title rather than leaving it and waiting to see feedback ,which does not always give a clear picture down to the fact not everyone sees or enjoys games in the same way.
It's so easy for them, even when people get burned over and over again, they still pay up front, complain that they were ripped off in some way, and do it all again and again.
People are the reason we all get taken advantage of, too many let it happen.
Some even welcome it and defend it.
Golden age of gaming is dead, and it's time for the industry to crash and burn.
I'll be happy with the thousands of games I already have.
But first I want Doom and Dark Souls 3. Then it can crash and burn :)
And i have seen it dying slowly since back when Xbox 360 became so popular it was then that i noticed pc gaming dying and has gotten worse and worse which is sad.
I am excited for those titles you mentioned too and also looking forward to Overkills Walking Dead they are collaborating with Robert Kirkman to make i am hopeing it will be the Walking Dead action survival i have been waiting for after the poor state survival instincts was.
And just hope it is not to much like the Pay Day series that were ok but not gonna be the style of play i would like to see in there new game.
