put the texture in high, and solved the problem, because texture in very high is fot graphics with 6vram. Take this link to performance guide and you can observe for yourseft. http://www.geforce.com/whats-new/guides/rise-of-the-tomb-raider-graphics-and-performance-guide#rise-of-the-tomb-raider-texture-quality Sorry for my english jaja

Recomendend card - NVIDIA GTX 980Ti 2560x1440 or NVIDIA GTX 970 1920x1080 . I am not even playing in 1920x1080 so it should work ok.

Nope.

Very High texture actually are 4096x4096 which is really high and vram demending

It says in that areticle that the recommended settings for the 970 is High on textures in the texture section. I go back and forth because my over clocked EVGA 970 SC has problems in the wide open areas on Ultra, but not in the linear areas. However, I think I am noticing that Lara's cuts and mud is not consistant when I do this. I may end up just running on high.

um what res are you playing at?

but as already mentioned you should have the textures no higher than high.

very high textures use more than 4gn vram, the 970 has 4gb vram.
Stop being a whiney ♥♥♥♥♥, drop the textures to high for NO noticable difference and play the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game.
You can't max out games with a 970, simple.

Yep, that explains why am I running Witcher 3 on ultra using GTX 970 with no issues and being at 55fps at the lowest.
Same goes for Dying Light (which simply looks STUNNING).

You definitely "can't max out games using GTX 970". That's totally out of question!

Geez, some people...

The difference between high and very high is subtle. It's nice to have the option for when you have a card with 6GB VRAM (maybe even higher) - during gameplay though I would challenge anyone to really spot the difference.

The 970 is the recommended GPU and guess what - the 970 runs the game at high settings just fine.

Well, to its credit I think it looks better then TW3 imo. That's very subjective though!

Oddly even with very high textures it doesn't make much difference visually in game. Maybe they are just for 4k as at 1440p there is not a whole lot of difference. You can notice slightly less detail on high but even on a 980ti you can gain 5 fps or so not using very high. Not a big deal either way.

It has been confirmed that the only real 'VISIBLE' difference between high and very high textures in this game is the cutscenes and close ups of Laura.

She has slightly better and 'clearer' mud textures and facial textures on the very high setting. That is it. Seriously even Nvidia's own guide said that is the main visible difference.

Personally i think Dying light is the best looking PC game overall. Maybe not cutscenes but just the expansive open world with no pop in.

Drop the textures to high, and try using Adaptive V-Sync or G-Sync.
