Anyone experiencing crashing/freezing?
I've played the game for a few hours now and the game has crashed and froze up once. Anyone else having a similar experience?

Running the game at max settings at 1080p with i7-4790k @ 4.0 GHz, 16 gb RAM and GTX 980 Ti.

Having Full Stop Lag occasionally (OC'd 980 and OC'd 8350). Hasn't Full on crashed on me. But it does occasionaly freeze for several seconds (one time almost 10 seconds). Not sure what's causing it.

Vram... 4gbs is not enough with textures at very high even at just 1080P.

You are full of crap and I know more about pc gaming and pc's in general than you will ever hope to learn in your lifetime child....

Only reason I got a temp ban from JC3 forums is because of the constant beat down you plebs brought upon yourselfs.....

BTW you are reported for attempted flamebaitng...

Nope. Not crashed once. There again my computer has never crashed in over a year since I built it.

Mine is straight up crashing...it had been crashing just the app, but I was testing a new nvidia profile for my Windows 10, Titan--x 2-way SLI, and it froze the system (blue screen) soon as the avalanche appeared...but at least the snow was real, as opposed to the ghostly flicker I had with the stock profile.

I'm going to try using high textures and perhaps try disabling SLI, but that would suck to have to do.

Whats your CPU/GPU Temps?
It will push them hard; even on a very good setup many of us here have had to manually raise the GPU fan % in order to keep things under control. Most crashing I see is due to GPUs overheating.

Not sure why anyone has to turn down things like Texture Quality; a 3GB GPU can handle that on the highest setting.

Thats what happens when you know how to properly maintain a gaming rig.

My game is also crashing. Usually when there is a lot on-screen happening. I have a GTX 780. Game runs smoothly up until the crash outs.
Card has 3 fans on it, so the temps never go over 70-ish.

Soon as I changed the texture to high I was able to finally get past the snow. That said, I'm running the game with everything else (except AA) maxed @ 4k, and those fans are going full force. They are both liquid cooled, so I would think the temps would be able to stay within comfort zone.

I was getting a lot of out of memory errors yesterday, and both the system (16G) and cards (12G each) have plenty of memory...so it's possible that there is some sort of memory leak related to some setups and their very high texture setting.

Crashing here too, usualy every 20 minutes. 980 ti sc with latest drivers. win7 64bit. i7 2600k. 8gb RAM.

I think It may be memory issue. The games uses 5gb of system RAM, 10gb Pagefile and over 6gb VRAM at some points.
I know the game looks good and all but that is just ridiculous.

Game runs excelent with no frame rate issues, all maxed out, but there are constant random crashes to desktop after a few seconds ingame.
Disabled everything and ran the game on the lowest possible graphics quality settings with the same random crashes.
Unable to play.
Every time I try to play the game, it crashes with "Rise of Tomb Raider has stopped working" message and the option to close the program.
Any clue?

Sucks to be you, last game ran perfect for me with no issues as does this one. Only difference this one is more demanding.

On the very 1st launch of the game it froze at the part where we see Lara climbing the ice wall (video) at the beginning of the game. Had to ctrl+alt+del. Restarted the game and got past that point but a bit further on the game partly froze but continued. I quit out of the game and verified the integrity and haven't had any issues since, keep in mind i haven't progressed very far and have only been replaying the early levels.

Settings
All on max except textures (high) and AA set to FXAA

Win 7
AMD 8350
1680*1050
970 strixx 4GB
129GB EVO SSD
16GB 1600 RAM
