Game did the same thing on my 1080p tv with my HTPC vid HDMI.
it is probably a bandwidth issue and it is reverting to a lower resolution to save bandwidth, unplug one of the other monitors and see if it then accepts the 1080p signal to tv.
If the 2013 Tomb Raider works with my current setup I don't see why the sequel couldn't do the same either using my GTX 980.
1) Change the resolution from your windows driver panel to something lower than your 1080p.
2) Change it back to 1080p
3) Launch the game (the launcher with the initial options will not show 1080p but that is fine).
4) Go into the in-game display options
5) See if the 1080p option is available. If not then try to enable exclusive mode.
6) Hopefully the 1080p option will now be available to you like it did for me.
7) Create a new game right away and you can exit the game normally.
After the above steps after relaunching the game the launcher still shows 1080p and in-game it continues to be 1080p so the fix stuck. Hope this helps you guys :)
Thanks, this worked!!!
