Optimal settings for GTX 970, I5 4690K, 16gb ram?

So i need help with the settings, the game drops fps until 8 fps or less, is fault for the bad optimization?

Yes it's the optimization, this and another "dinosaur game" are the only games with terrible FPS. I can run MGS V TTP at Ultra settings just saying.

"Optimal settings" I bet u have some of setting truned all the way up or close..Turn down some settings

I have a 970, I have everything on MAX but SMAA x2 instead of x4. 40fps. 60fps on SMAA.

Yo tengo un i7 4790k + maximus vii formula + 16 gb + sli asus strix gtx 970 y me anda a 45 fps... una bosta. Menos mal que me lo regalo Nvidia...

I have a 970. Play in high res textures (not very high), shadows & sun shadows high, the rest of options at maximun, BUT IMPORTANT: TESELATION OFF. I had a little stuttering when this options was on, and fps drops in some zones like geotermic valley but since i dissable it... Everything runs in smoothly 60 fps.

shadow high
sun high

everything else is your preference

Best you use the geforce experience and it will have the optimal settings. As i have very high and others tuned which lead to 30fps and some time 22fps being barely playable at high textures scenes. But once the geforce experience optimal is set now i get arround 50+
Not much of sacrifice on visual unless people are gaming in 2k or 4k. for 1080P go with nvidia profile which would have been automatically pushes.

I have the exact same set-up. Run textures on High. Anything above requires more vram than a 970 can handle. also use FXAA, everything else can be run on very high.

If you are seeing drops to 8fps there is something wrong with your machine or you are using the wrong settings. I am using a 970 and a 3770k and the lowest I have seen is 45fps.

The only settings I can think of that would cause such poor performance are SSAA and Very High Textures. On a 970 SMAA or FXAA are the best options and you cannot run Very High textures on a 970 due to the memory limitation.
