Replay value?
Can anyone that has this for console tell me what the replay value's like? Do you feel compelled to return and play again even after the story is over? Is the length of the game satisfying? Thank you!!

IDK but I played the Tomb Raider from 2013 6 times on PS4 and 2 Times on PC and I would play it again, and again. Did those 7 runs in 15 months, so every 2 months I played it 1 time :) Great game, and as I heard that Rise of the Tomb Raider will be much bigger I think I gonna play this one way moooore times.. Waiting for it since it has been first announced *-* Just get the game, you can't do anything wrong with it :)

You never know man. It could be a flop. People didn't expect that from Rome 2 but guess what happened...
Pre-orders are very tricky these days. You don't lose anything by waiting for the first day and seeing the reviews. Wait out the storm

The length of the game is alright, it's longer than the previous one. And if you aim to get all the collectibles and achieve 100%, it's even better, there's plenty of stuff to collect, some of them are well hidden.

As for the replay value, there are new features that weren't available in TR2013 like Chapter Replay, Score Attack and community created missions. Each replay can be unique by using expedition cards, which alter the gameplay add new challenges, advantages or make cosmetic, but funny changes. So I'd say it's pretty good in that regard.

I've seen gameplay videos that make the game seem a lot smaller then the last one, so I know I'll play it at least once. Also I' m not looking forward to playing a game with Natla 2.0 in it.

The Endurance mode looks like a survival game with food and warmth requirements... If the map is random I think it could be near endless.

There is replay value, but it's kind of hidden underneath the microtransactions of stupid cards. It works like Halo 5's REQ cards, when you replay you can select cards that add different effects etc other than that not really.. You can play on a harder difficulty or maybe play again to collect/do the stuff you missed on your first playthrough.

Edit: It took me about 12 hours to finish it but I didn't go back to do half the tombs or find collectible stuff. I didn't replay after I finished it but I will be buying it again of PC.

But do you get to keep all the weapons you collected from previous chapters when you replay othe chapters?

Like for example you got a shotgun in chapter 5 and you want to replay chapter 4 but do you get to use that shotgun you got it from chapter 5 and use it on chapter 4 or you dont?

There's an option to replay missions with your stuff and save progress.

You mean you're not afraid they will run out of digital downloads and you'll have to wait 3-4 weeks before they can restock?

I think that there is a tonne of replay for this game. I owned it first on the Xbox 360 and completed just the story and tombs but ignored the secrets mainly. I then purchased an Xbox One during Black Friday and ROTTR. While playing I wanted to do EVERYTHING and in my "first" playthrough of the game I clocked up over 40 hours just doing everything.

I'm now playing through the game on Survivor difficulty and again doing everying. I'd also purchased the Season Pass which gives you access to Endurance Mode and Baba Yaga. Endurance Mode is challenging and addictive. I've now clocked up about 115 hours with the game.

Even if you just want to experience the story and pick stuff up afterwards, you can still do that. The great thing about the collectables in this game is that they tell their own stories and go further into the history of the game.

Just so you can see my stats for the game :) https://twitter.com/Weealbet/status/692865130229428226/photo/1

The map is procedurally generated each time you play it. It never plays the same way twice and you can use different cards on it to make it easier and/or harder. It's quite the challenge but very fun to do!
