I mean this is PC gaming, of course some core rendering techniques will not be toggable.
To those that dont lıke it or want better performance you can turn off it on options they will add a feature for it.
The game really well on my 770 a few months later.
AMD aimed for 7950-7970 level of hardware for "good" Tressfx performance, GTX 670-680 in Nvidia terms.
All the other NPCs in the game still had the old hair. Making Lara's hair very realistic and the other hair be a gen behind was very weird to see.
Performance targets.
It's the same in RITR, however it isn't anywhere near as noticable as the hair still moves using other techniques for other characters.
Hairworks so far ahs been a better tech imho though what they used on xbox one for this game is gorgeous.
