You will be missing a great game for sure.

it's a rly good game but it has no connection to the story

Hm, the story is somehow connected, and RoTR advances with many of 2013s features.

I'd play TR 2013 first.

You would be missing Laura's entire back story and how she became to be a "tomb raider". Without the first, you'll have very little connection with the character, as it covers her growth as a person and you go through many struggles. It's probably, in my eyes, a little bit of a better game too. Hopefuly Rise will be getting a patch to fix performance issues too, so it's a great way to tide you over until it hits.

You can playthrough Tomb Raider 2013 in like 8-10 hours and it's super cheap now (it's on sale right now), so you might as well just get it and play it first.

But I mean, you could playthrough RotTR without playing Tomb Raider 2013 if you want. Both work as stand alone games just fine, but there is a link between the stories and the characters.

TR 2013 It's greatest explore game, but if TR can be add next new campaign mode with previous skill and weapon i think it'll be very perfect game in fun and explore game.
Honestly not too much I thought, but that game was so awesome. I got all collectibles because I loved it so much. Give it a try when it's on sale!

If you play through 2013 in 8-10hrs then you would really be rushing it... My first play through I explored everything and took my time, 19hrs first play through.

Yeah, for sure. I mean I went back to the game just before RotTR came out and did a new playthrough on hard and went around getting all the collectables and doing all the challenges. I probably got an extra 20 or so hours out of it, so that sounds about right.

First time I played it I just didn't really bother with the stuff. Being my first playthrough of this new type of Tomb Raider I just didn't really think to do those things and I got wrapped up in the dramatic story and before I knew it I had got through the game in no time.
