Story Progression Bug? ( spoilers)
So I did not play in a bit of time, so when I loaded up my main objective was to Defend Jonah and the Remnant. The story name is Protector.

I already did that...that whole under-water bit with the red smoke. I already saved Jonah and Jesus healed him. But my MAIN OBJECTIVE MARKER is still at the research base.

Help!

So what happened after Jacob healed Jonah? You should have gotten a cutscene with Lara discussing next steps with Jacob and a hidden passgaeway to the frozen city opened for you.

Did you find the Atlas on the way to rescuing Jonah? If not, then perhaps you need to find that also before proceeding.

Where is the hidden pathway? Like I said, I did not play for a bit and forgot where I was going. I DID find the Atlas, the thing map thing, right? With the sun?

open your map and look in the upper left, it'll tell you your next objective and/or just use the 'survival' highlite to see where to go next.

The issue is that the objective marker tells me to go to an area that I can not get to

Please answer all of my questions if you want help - you have ignored some.

1) What happened after Jacob healed Jonah? You should have gotten another cutscene with the path to the frozen city opening. The stairs leading into the observatory open and you walk through that entrance down below the observatory. Did you get the cutscene? Is that entrance there? Can you walk down to the cellar/basement of the observatory at the top of hill/mountain?

2) You say your objective marker is at the research base but you say you can't get there. However, if you have been there you should have a fast travel camp available, actually 2 in the region. Have you gone back to those campsites and seen what your objective is? If so, what is it and where does it lead?

Sorry for the late response, been busy.

I did get the scene, with the stairs. But I guess I wanted to backtrack to explore, now I can't find the stairs. My OBJ marker is behind a door I can not go thorugh.

I remember Lara finding Jesus was Jesus and he said "Yes I am" and he opeend the stairs...the problem is the fence is still there.

I am stuck in the exact same spot as you! I quit the game after the whole cutscene, and now my objective marker is in a spot I can't get to just like in your screenshot http://postimg.org/image/rb6kg69oh/

what do you mean 'obsv' not station? I know its been a few weeks since you played this but it would really help me out!

EDIT: Found it. Even though the objective marker shows the objective is in the RESEARCH BASE you are supposed to go to the RIDGELINE ENCAMPMENT in the Geothermal Valley. Once you fast travel there the objective marker will change to the hidden stairs which are right next to the ridgeline encampement's camp
