Burn baby burn

I've got the tower where "Burn Baby Burn" challange starts covered in ice so I can not shoot the wood to climb I watched videos in them the tower's surface was clear, the wood could be seen clearly. So I wonder if this ice will melt in the future if so when and how. Thanks for your helps.

Is this where you need to light the fires with your bow, or the one where you need to light the fires with the catapult?

Post a screenshot, I've done both of those challenges I believe, I cannot picture where you are talking about though.

Oh ok I just watched a video to remind me, ya you need to head towards the gate in the town to activate a cutscene. Then it will tell you to go take over the catapult. That's when you can go climb the walls and get to the catapult. I wondered the same thing, lol.
