How Do I Swim Down?

Hi,

Can't figure out how to descend while swimming. Am able to stay underwater holding down right mouse button but can't figure out key/mouse combo to go farther down than just under the surface.

How do I do this please?

All areas, including tombs are raidable anytime during the game or after. The only area not available during regular game play is Syria. You can only travel back there after you finish the game.
First tomb of the game is Cistern. I do not recall an iron gate in the tomb. However, I've been told that the water level resets after the end of the game & that you are able to retrieve anything that was covered by water.

It's the place where you first meet Constantine, one of the main villains in the game.

I'm under the impression that all collectibles were retrievable after the finish of the game and Syria can only be accessed after the game was finished. So I pulled up my last 100% save and travelled to Syria.
There are 3 "documented" coin caches & all 3 are easily accessible without changing the water level. As far as I can remember, there are 2 (maybe 3) coins that are not marked. All coins were easily accessible without changing the water level.
The only coins I can think of (& I will do a chapter replay to make sure I'm correct) that are behind an iron gate would be the visible & unmarked pile beside the last wall Lara breaks to raise the water level up to the actual tomb. Those coins are easily accessible from the last camp in Syria (from left to right). Travel there, jump to the tall columns & followl the hallway to Lara's right. Watch out for the pit w/spikes.

Yes, went thru it again. I believe the one ur looking for is the one that is behind a way that is easily accessible. From the 2nd level under the crypt jump to the column ahead (from the camp) & continue to jump ahead until you reach the platform, turn right down the hallway & it exits into another area. That's where the visible coins are.

To descend press Space bar and look in the direction you wish to travel. Space is a toggle.

So if you press space and this does not work, press again and look down while pressing [W]. This will allow you to travel in the direction you wish to swim underwater.

Once you swim back to the surface press space again if you wish to swim on the surface of the water.

Thanks for fast replies.

Sprint (Shift) + Right Mouse just makes me swim faster just under the surface

C doesn't seem to do anything.

In both cases holding down right mouse and W to move forward.
