How to get back into the gulag?

I am the point where I have returned to the Soviet Installation at night. I have one last mission to complete before going over the top. I need to get back into the Gulag but the rope behind the supply shack has been cut so how can I get back in?

You should be able to fast travel using any camp fire, to any campfire near that gulag. At least, that method worked for me when I was trying to get back to some previously visited areas.

I tried the camp fire and ran back myself. But I could only get to the control room (right before the water/electricity area) and the door is jammed. Need to get all the red laptops!

To go through the gulag a second time you have to go through the "end" campfire and backtrack through, you can't go through the front again.

How do you get back to the beginning of the base? Where the helicopter lands and you have to open the gate. Maybe I missed something, will try again.

Thanks for replies. It seems the fast travel is the only way to get back into the gulag. You have to travel to the camp at the end of the prison and then backtrack. They have thoughtfully repaired the prison and put a ladder in so you can get back in.

It breaks ma immersun but has to be so.

Bumping for this. Is there no way to get full access to the gulag (the area where you first escape your cell and have the confrontation w/ the guards)? The door to get back in is stuck and there are relics/docs on the other side.

If I understood correctly what door you mean, you can get back there through the waterway next to the door, under the floors (the one where you hid after the Konstantin & co. cutscene).

What you all seem to be missing is, any area that contain's challange option can be returned to. If you missed something the 1st time thru, like some smaller items or ammo stuff they may be alittle harder to reach. All this has been factored in, there are things you may need other then the normal, to gain access to those area's, but before you reach the end you will have everything you need to clean up whatever you missed the 1st time. The fast travel is there for a reason, don't rush what you should enjoy.

When you're close to the final Base Camp in The Gulag (to the left of from the Supply Shack), you go towards the snow area behind the Base Camp and, on the right side of the ruined building (not towards the gate). Theres a water, you go through it. It's a dead end at first side but there's a ladder there, just easy to miss.
