Geothermal Valley -High Dive

Hello everyone i have done all of the challenges but one in this area along with the Missions , anyways im having a problem with the High Dive Challenge i have done all but the last Dive near Ridgeline Base Camp , everytime i try to do this dive all that happens is she crosses her arms , she doesnt even dive ,am i doing something wrong , plz help still new to the game

I got sick of climbing the tower where you had to light the fire so i was practicing on some rocks and it still counted. two of the jumps i made were off of rocks just into the same body of water.

The above post did it for me (thanks BTW). Tried diving from the island and the Highridge site in particular dozens of times but Lara wouldn't go into a dive. Tried diving off the cliff opposite the island and it worked! (saved alot of faffing about to get to the island platform too). With this in mind, I tried off the stone surface to the right of the High Ridge marked platform, and this worked first time too. Hope this helps, as I think this challenge is probably bugged. (p.s. I used W,space,RMB)

I don't think the dive is bugged but it is contextual. She has to be over deep water when you trigger the move or she won't do it. So if you do the sequence before she is over the water it won't work.

For PC you must hold both your up movement key (w) and the right arrow key to complete a high dive.

Just STAND on the red mark and jump pressing RMB (forward, jump and RMB simultaneously).

Spent an hour trying to do this and figured out the perfect way after getting very fustrated!

Do exactly this to dive every time:
Walk to edge of red paint.
Face down where you want to dive.

Then in this order, press

Space (jump)
Then W (forward)
THEN Aim (right mouse button).

Do it in that order 1,2,3. DON'T press them all together or two at the same time. Press them in suquence. Jump, forward and aim or on PC space, W, right mouse button.

You don't have to be standing still, that makes it more complicated than it needs to be.

If you are walking or running (already holding down [w]): press [space] to jump and just as soon as you see her feet leave the ground tap or hold (didn't seem to matter) the [Right Mouse Button]. The timing between [space] and [RMB] should be like the "ba-dum" part of the comic drums sound bit. Ba-dum tss!

You -can- also dive from a standing position, just push both [w] and [space] near simultaniously, and then tap/hold the [RMB] with the same timing as described above. A couple of tries even off of the rocky bank of the river in the geothermal valley, by the bear cave will get you diving like a pro.

(This short guide assumes default button layout)

I had the same problem top board one way to stop her misbehaving is to have her running at her highest speed and just use your normal controls as you used for the other three dives or I got her to face side on to the waterfall and she dived perfectly it seems this one board has a glitch in the game but it is do able with patience and kind people giving advice I also play on Pc with X Box Elite Controller. Good Luck !!!

I finally did it. I discovered by accident whike practicing a low dive at a non challenge spot. The correct procedure with an xbox controller is to walk to the edge of the platform. Press A and release followed by simultaneously pressing the LS forward to move forward and pressing LT. Hokd thru the jump. The part no one mentions is the RS stick which has to be pushed slightly and gently to get Lara's arms pointing down.
