Anyone else annoyed they changed Lara's face in Rise of the Tomb Raider?

All was fine in Tomb Raider 2013, and now???? I actually like the Rise of the Tomb Raider a lot, but looking at that face really spoils the fun!!! Luckily it's most of the time a view of her buttocks that is offered!

Saying that this look is more realistic or suiting her personality more or whatever, is nonsense! This is a game and a dream world anyway, and up until now we love Lara not least because she's pretty!


Btw: For all those who feel the same, try to use an outfit covering her face (e.g. Baba Yaga outfit) and you are all set.

I liked the old Lara better. She had wider, more realistic shoulders and some meat on her. She reminded me of my athletic self in college. For this edition, Lara is more dainty. Her shoulders are narrow and drawn into a shrug at times that looks unrealistic and strange. She doesn't have the upper body strength for the acrobatics she does which makes her pull ups and spider monkey business seem less realistic than it did with the more fit, athletic, muscular Lara of 2013.

Who are the developers pandering to in making the new Lara diminutive? She's *really* tiny. I know there are woman who are that tiny but they aren't spider monkeys and they aren't athletic enough to climb rocks. Is a fit female body with some healthy weight on her really that offensive? I have to wonder if they made her more diminutive to compensate for giving her agency. Maybe if a woman has agency, it's too intimidating if she is anything but a diminutive skeleton in a jacket?

Also, the new Lara's face has been so homogenized to ideal beauty it lost the unique and distinguishable features of the 2013 Lara. Her face looks like every other face. If you put three million "pretty" female faces together, the blend would look like new Lara. There is absolutely NOTHING distinguishable about her face, which is okay, just not as great as 2013 Lara, who had her own look. The new Lara doesn't have the fiercesome look on her face quite like that of the 2013 Lara.

I have a 2013 TR poster on my wall. In it, Lara is running through the forest, readying her bow. Her shoulders and arms have muscle. She looks real. Keeping that poster up.

I hope someone makes a mod with the 2013 face (non-"definitive"). Then again, nobody knows if this DeNuvo ♥♥♥♥ is gonna allow mods to be inserted. ffs

the face is ugly, no doubt (justin beiber like) but her behind and her boobs are not beautiful as they were in the past as well.

Agreed! Her tits were swell, amazing in 2013...like, small, yes, but HARD. Same for butt. Now, no butt, tits are small, the saggy kinda small. Not HARD. Not sexy...

I think I actually preferred her character model in the TR 2013 reboot. But I ultimately don't mind. Rise of the Tomb Raider still looks gorgeous and with pure hair her hair is amazing!

Why would they even make her look like Camilla Luddington?! There's an unwritten rule, that says voice actors/actresses should *never* reveal their appearance. Like Jennifer Hale (from Mass Effect, for one): her voice is cute as a button, but she's pretty old. Or like Ellen McLain (the hawt voice of GLaDOS), who is over 50 even, I think. Point is, it often damages the career of a voice actress when ppl know what she looks like IRL. Even Camilla is, what, 33 now?!
