Proof of glitched document in geothermal valley?

it says i have 32/33 but i can't find any more on the map. on the documents list it says i'm missing "on bears" the last one in "way of the valley", but when i checked the maps it looks like i already got it?

is it glitched? apparently i'm also missing 4 survival caches.

compare you ingame map with the map image in these guides..

if you have collected something it'll be greyed out; if you didn't it wont appear until you find it or collecting all archivist maps, explorer satchels or reading all monoliths..

i'm pretty sure i got all the explorer satchels and monoliths on that level.

do i really have to go through every single document though? i checked the documents list and it said i was missing "On bears".

So i looked up on bears and it said it was document 17 according to that list that I linked, but it's not there? There are no white documents on my map, they are all greyed out but i still have 32/33.

forget the documents list menu/tab.. what i advised you is not to go through every single document. just compare your in-game map (the map that show when you press tab) with the image on the site link i gave. (just mark it or remember & count) you can easily find out which/where the document you're missing..

also check this link to make sure u collected all archivist maps & explorer satchels

alright.. i guess i'll try again when i get home. but why did you say forget the documents list? does it not correspond to the documents you receive in-game? are they random?

because, my opinion: not all of us will remember exactly which document is where/what after a play through... i personally wont keep track.. so i guess most people feel difficult to backtrack using that menu.. it's best to use the stats of the map menu (counting items) rather than researching which item is what.. (documents/relics menu)

i personally never used that menu (except some documents/logs that unlocked as a whole eg. lara's therapist session logs).

Right.. but did you the screenshot I posted? There are only 7 documents in "way of the valley". Since I'm only missing one, it must be "On Bears", right?

possibly.. i remember a document about the people talks about how to hunt bear.. but we can't be certain that the "bear" document will always be "there" - where u post ur first screenshot. (because most don't knew 100% sure & there's a 1% possibility where some guides may be wrong)

that's why my advise check your map with that guide i linked and count back to triangulate the missing document..

if (maybe) it was a bug as you're telling, then did u remember already collecting the bear document...?

i don't read the documents when i get them.. but i definitely got the document on that table before :(

then there may be a possibility of a bug. so you should confirm it 100% by checking with that guide i linked..

ok i found the last one. your advice was good it was 16 on the map you linked me.. not sure why my "on bears" document was in a different location, i guess it's partially random?

Yes, thank you! Mine wasn't showing on the map either and it was 16 on the linked map. Before going to that area, I checked my map and it did NOT show the document, so this was very helpful.
