So both Baba Yaga and the The Cold Darkness Awakened is
Someone mentioned that only by starting a new game will it show any information about the DLC....They also mentioned that Baba Yaga DLC is on the Soviet Installation map but the only thing I found was a Crypt Entrance on Soviet Installation map. So that's supposed to be it....right?

The Cold Darkness Awakened DLC is also on the Soviet Installation map is nothing more than a challenge to enter 5 caves?

This is what happens when DLC is poorly added to games.

Baba Yaga will show up when you progress to a certain point very early in the game(you need to have the rope arrows) rescue Jacob from the gulag.
it will have a message and an icon will show up when it's activated.
If you are farther into the game simply 'fast travel' to the Soviet Installation' map.

Cold Darkness is in the 'Expedition' area off the main menu...scroll thru in the top menu after opening the Expedition
Only Baba Yaga is played in the main story

OK so I need rope arrows? Ok that explains it, I guess your defitnition of early on is different from mine (Early on to me would be nearing shortly afterI killed the bear on the first map.

I Still haven't gotten explosives or lockpicks and this game keeps on piling on more and more things needed in areas you have to go back to which is fine, it's just by the time you find any of this stuff to use in earlier maps there is going to be nothing worth while in there for you to get. It basically renders the need for them on earlier maps useless.

Also what you said about Cold Darkness is odd, this is a Screen shot I took on the Soviet Installation map during the main game:

I have no information in my game about any of this so there is no possible way to know that what I have circled is not Cold Darkness. (Caves are dark and cold) so as far as I know, that's what the developers titled it.

Anyway thanks for the answer!

Yeah..you got it...I think you'll have to do a few things before they tell you to go back into the gulag ans rescue Jacob...just do the few 'side missions'(there'll be an icon on the map) untill the gulag one is available. I think you need to 'shut down the 5 towers'/'clear the cave of wolves',etc
there's a few before the 'rescue' and a few after...I did them all before proceeding in the game the 2nd time I played it.

The readable monoliths need a certain language upgrade which you will not have early on..they show where 'coin caches' are. The was one monolith in the middle of the 'bear' map, that you couldn't read right off until you finished a little more of that map.

Yeah I always do any side objectives first (Or as many as I can before it doesn't let me any more) in all games I play. My problem is that I cannot stand leaving an area without having everything in it done before moving on. Unless it's part of the main story, if I am forced to go back to a previous area then that feels like I've lost progression not gained any it's like learning calculus then having to go back to a basic math class.

Well....in this game you're going to run into that...not only for collectibles, but just to progress in the main story.
for example when you get to the supply shack...you won't have enough coins to purchase everything even if you do all the side missions and find all the coin caches...also next to the camp site is a climbable wall that you will get a message 'con not progress until you have the climbable arrows' which is part of the main story later on in the game....
even doing the gulag rescue mission, they are going to ask you to go back there again.

Yes and no....you need to build up your upgrade points and going back to areas will help do that.

Yeah I'm aware of how this game is and I accept it. This is just a pet peeve of mine is all I was saying.

I don't mind that and I accept it, I was just saying I don't like doing it unless I have to.
