Thoroughly enjoy it.
It's great for players who like the overall gameplay and survival aspects of the new Tomb Raider series. The idea is simple enough, but it takes time to learn and adapt (all in a good sense). Overall, the game mode is well designed and worth your time. If you enjoy it (like you think you will), a normal "good" run is 2 hours+, my personal best is over 3 hours.
To be honest and fair, this is one downside to Endurance that you should note before playing. The game is perma-death, therefore, the moment you die, the game is over, no matter how stupid or soon it happens. It also takes a long while to continue through it. a 2-3 week run (a "normal good" run) takes 2-3 hours to complete, and if you know what you're doing, it can take longer. The problem here is there is no "save and quit" system like there is with Cold Darkness (I think they learned from this), so if you ever quit the run, you LOOSE the run. You CANNOT quit the run until you "die" or "extract". This is the only down side.
The point: if you do play Endurance, especially after "figuring" out how to survive about a week+, make sure you have a 2-hour+ timeframe set out in case you do make it that far into the run, as you cannot "save and quit" and reload it later.
I would say go for it if it sounds appealing to you. Most who likes the "idea" of Endurance that I know of have enjoyed it. Have fun.
Thanks for that. I actually kinda jumped the gun a little and snagged the Season Pass last night. I'm aware of Endurance, and the Baba Yaga DLC (seems to basically be a bit of a mediocre story DLC that runs a couple hours, but I'm not too fussed about that), but I haven't really looked up the Cold Darkness Awakened mode - is it basically, like, horde survival?
