Spoiler Info about game and in-between novel: About Sam
I finished the main game and got reading the therapy sessions. I hadn't known that Lara picking up that recorder meant that you get a cache to most of her sessions with Ana's objectives. Anyways, I am surprised, and actually a bit incensed, at Sam being reluctant in meeting Lara. In the novel, she had checked herself into the hospital and seemed to have lost touch with her parents. And she didn't seem disinterested or avoidant of Lara. Though she did say that she was having her own nightmares and needed the help. Additionally, she thanked Lara and said that she was her truest friend.

I know I was not a fan of the novel's writing style but it was pretty indecent to suddenly cut out Lara from Sam's life. Though these are mixed feelings as in I am kinda happy the creative team and writers did this. I mean I understand this points out "the friend in need" adage. I mean Lara is usually a friend through thick and thin; it is good the team wrote in a way not everyone is. Yet, I am somewhat disappointed with Sam. Sam has forgotten all that Lara had to do to keep them alive and how she risked so much to save her. I mean some meetings would have been nice.

Is Sam feeling guilty as well? I mean I am happy they included Jonah in this narrative. I wonder if Whitman's ex-wife contacted Lara about her husband's motives and demise. I wonder what happened to Reyes and her and Roth's dfaughter? I was expecting that they might meet again. Some Fanfic writers show there was still some acerbity between Reyes and Lara. I didn't particularly like Reyes. It was obvious her scepticism and animosity towards Lara was just veiled jealousy in her own severance with Roth on certain personal issues.

Sorry, I went off track. Just wanna know if anyone is disliking Sam a bit now. Though Ana loooks a bit too much like Natla from TR Underworld. I stated this because could be it, as impplied or gesticulated in the novel, that a part of Himiko was able to transfer herself into Sam? If so, would Himiko make a 2nd appearance? Also, the Mysterious Leader of Trinity wonder who he is. I wonder if he is the agent they sent after Lara in the novel. And I wonder if the Thousand Immortals Sect is still alive and running. All these questions. But primarily I wonder if Sam gonna be the new Amanda. Personally, I found Amanda's reasons for hating Lara to be superficial and untenable. Sam hating on Lara for while isn't bad. But Himiko possession makes better narrative.
