How to jump and climb UP rope instead of slide down?

I'm currently doing the platform puzzle in the Baba Yaga DLC and there is a part where you jump on to a rope then go up it (instead of jumping on and sliding down as usual). In every video when I've seen people do this they don't seem to be doing anything special, but I automatically slide down.

Does anyone know if there's a special key I need to press?

OK nevermind, literally a second after posting I figured out it's just tricky - you need to jump in the exact right spot on the rope (toward the direction you're going). If anyone else has this problem then that is the solution!

Infuriatingly stupid physics behind this puzzle. Sometimes she grabs the rope when jumping to the left, sometimes when jumping to the right, and sometimes she ignores the rope alltogether.

I'm literally going insane trying to get her to climb up again -_-

It's about your angle of view, if you are looking up she goes up - she also gets the rope ascender later in the game which allows rapid ascents.

If you have the rope ascender this problem does not occur. 25 coins in the soviet installtion will get you that.
