Right tool for every challenge tomb?
Do you need every tool for solving puzzles? Any one know where to get the knife?

I'm working on the Soviet Installation Challenge Tomb and don't have a knife. I saw a person use it during the mission which helped him progress, but for me....I can't progress in this puzzle because I don't have it to perform a specific actions. I would think this game would at least suggest that I'd need 'another tool' and not leave me without a single hint whatsoever. I've not see the knife anywhere in the game yet and I'm well past this zone.

The game logic is a bit silly. I can kill and gut a bear, deer, and wolves with bare hands, teeth, and arrows, but I can't even cut a thin rope without a knife? LOL

Just continue playing the game. Eventually you'll get the knife, Then you can return to location and solve the puzzle. And yes, you can't pass some tombs, crypts, challenges, even collect some treasures, etc. without tools that you receive as the game progresses.
Pretty annoying for me, too.

some things can be replaced with item craftables (fire arrows -> molotovs, explosion arrow -> tin can grenade) but yeah for the most part you will want to finish the game all the way through before exploring side tombs because then you'll have everything, and if you make it to the end of the campaign you'll get your grapple hook ability which is super super helpful for getting to hard places.

I just got the knife two days ago, however it "feels' like I'm in mid to late game after completing 70% of the Soviet Installation area. I'm playing on the most difficult settings and its not that challenging at all. LOL
