No coins for Ancient Secrets mission

Hey everyone,

The Ancient Secrets mission (at least I think that was its name) was really a major let-down. I've been looking forward to completing it and collecting the coin reward so I can purchase the missing items from the vendor. However, even though the quest giver mentions giving me my reward, I didn't actually get ANY coins for completing the quest when, as far as I remember, it should have scored me 50 coins per tomb (i.e. 450 in total). Considering how scarce the coins are otherwise, it seems like I'll never be able to purchase those extra items now. What the hell happened? Has anyone else had this problem? Since the game doesn't offer more than one save slot, I can't even return to an earlier savegame to check whether it was just some sort of glitch... Even with the completed quest and after lots of coin hunting, I only have 140-odd coins, which will hardly buy me anything, and I've completed much of the game.

Don't know where you got the 30 coins per tomb reward from....
Ancient Secrets mission ...explore 9 tombs(that's all of them in the game)
but the reward was an outfit.

The quest giver said so at the beginning of the quest, and I also saw this on a number of threads all over the internet where people ask about sources for coins. People kept saying that this quest gives you the highest amount of coins. Or am I mixing up the quests entirely now; is there anoher quest giving you those coins? What the hell do I need another useless outfit for?

Edit: The amount of coins per tomb seems to vary for no apparent reason, I can find different values online. But apparently (e.g. according to this guide: https://tombraiders.net/stella/walks/TR10walk/collectibles/07-geothermal-valley-missions.html), you get coins each time you return to the herbalist after completing another tomb, which is what I initially thought, but didn't work either. When I returned before completing all of them, Lara only admitted to not having explored all of the tombs, and I received nothing. Strange.
