Lara supposedly was a goddess with brave and adventurous temperament .. why they did her look so awful? The beauty of Lara was part of her charm, I'm a fan but I was really surprised that she was so ugly !!

I concur, this is a common lament.

If its about making people feel good about themselves... maybe they should have her sit on a couch the whole game and watch an average size tv- I mean if she has this exciting swashbuckingling adventure a minute life, it makes so many unfortunate people feel extra isolated and that they lead boring meaningless lives.

Tomb Raider should really be a dumpy socially isolated race-neutral minimum wage earning single mother that lives at home.

I found the first two iterations of Lara not very nice to look at because they were so unrealistic, but this third iteration is a lot more proportioned correctly and the honest truth: I like what Crystal Dynamics did with this one.

if there was a girl that looked like that in the real world i would be asking her out by now, a very fine looking lass.

I just read an article where the authors admitted that they made her ugly on purpose, and that they added masculine facial features. Now I'm not going to enter into a discussion of why they did it and where all this really points but ... it's unfortunate that they did it on purpose and it really gives me a bit of laughter that you all deny the truth by saying "it's not ugly" when the authors themselves are saying that they made it ugly on purpose.

I have many friends who did not buy the game because she looks ugly. It is not a question of sexism but of aesthetics. When I play a game I like to identify myself with the character or even imagine that I am that character, and I want it to be a cute character, it is simple.

This is not the place for feminazi expression, this is fantasy. The extreme feminists love porn and have no complaints about it but are now mad because Lara Croft looks pretty? its a freaking joke or what?

If I want to see my face I look in the mirror, if I want to see ugly people I do not need to pay. It's nice to look at something beautiful. The boys instead prefer to see a sexy girl instead of an ugly woman, are we going to continue with this hypocrisy? It is a game, all the story is FANTASY... the scenario of the game and its argument can only exist in a fantasy world, why people insist with the excuse of realism to justify the ugliness of the character? If she is cute, can not she be smart or fearless or brave? What kind of prejudicial parameters they use to measure people?
