I enjoy Xbox/Win10 first and third party versions of games because I like the Xbox eco-system and all that comes with it.
I also like that Win10 games have dynamic resolution scaling. You can ofcourse change this but for casual people with good enough hardware to run the games....it makes for a seamless console-like experience.
I have DX12 enabled on my Win10 version and haven't experienced any problems.
The only thing that beats these Win10 games for me is the Steam community and controller profiles....you don't get that over there.
I too like the xbox ecosystem and the achievements. But not if it's performing worse or is behind in terms of updates.
As I type this, again, I feel dumb asking on the Steam forums lol
Hi,
When you ask if it's up to date what specifically are you asking? There are two versions in the Win10 store....the original Rise of the Tomb Raider and the 20 year celebration Rise of the Tomb Raider.
I recently just bought the base Rise of the Tomb Raider.....but I wanted the 20 year.....so with Win10 games they offer in-game upgrades....I found the 20 year update pack within this section of the game's menu. So now....I have the 20 year up-to-date game.....same as Steam.
I feel you for asking on the Steam forums.....but there is an Xbox forum....that handles both Xbox/Win10.
Yeah I check the xbox forums. Last post was from a month ago. trolol.
Anyway thanks for the replies.
You might as well grab the Steam version if you're worried about that stuff. Like I said I have the win10 version and I just booted it up.......did not see a patch number.......I know that Gears 4 gives you a patch number at the menu screen but RoTR does not.
Atleast with Steam you definitely know its the latest DX11 version.
In the meantime I'll enjoy my buttery-smooth win10 version.
